驶向拜占庭
这不是一个养老的国家. 年轻人在彼此的怀抱. 林中的鸟
– 那正在消亡的一代代– 守着它们的歌. 鮭鱼穿跃的瀑布, 鲭鱼拥挤的海, 这些鱼儿, 还有虫兽, 家禽, 在整整的夏日, 为生生死死的一切, 唱着颂歌. 它们陶醉在肉感的音乐中, 被冷落的是那一座座不朽理智的丰碑.
老人只是一个无用的东西, 一件挂在杆子上的破衣. 除非灵魂为他鼓掌, 为他歌唱, 为他生命皮囊的每次破裂越唱越亮. 可是要不懂得那些丰碑的宏伟, 怎么能学会唱这样的歌. 所以我扬帆渡海, 来到拜占庭, 这神圣的城市.
啊, 智者. 站在上帝的圣火中, 金壁辉煌, 火轮旋转. 从这圣火中出来吧. 请教我的灵魂唱歌. 我的心折磨在欲望里, 栓在要死的肉体中, 请把它燃尽, 它已经不知道它是什么. 请把我收入永恒的艺术.
出了自然, 我再不会附身于一个自然的产物, 而只作一只, 希腊金匠用锤打的金子和金釉制成的鸟, 让磕睡的皇帝保持清醒; 或者栖息在金枝上, 为拜占庭的主人, 夫人, 歌唱那已经失去的, 正在失去的, 即将到来的.

<<No Country for Old Men>> 电影很棒. 有Chigurh 这类psychopathic killer, 恐怕电影的名子又可以叫"No Country for Any One". Coen 兄弟还有另一部类似的片子<<Fargo>>, 也挺棒.
