如果有这样的召唤，我想，在山呼海啸的回声中，我可能会也举手的：）

 

Rod Stewart---洛德-史都华，呵呵，港台中文媒体是这样译的,  作为生于1945年，在西方流行音乐界红了五十年的老烧包，他哪里缺粉丝---想象一下，当他1994年新年之夜，在巴西里约热内卢海滩举行那个史无前例的，有三百五十万听众出现的沙滩音乐会时，该是何等地疯狂---如果需要装一下，你最好对这样的歌星不要举手的；）

 

想到他，是因昨天早晨在路上拧开收音机，忽然就听到他扯着沙沙的嗓子在那儿竭嘶底里地抒情：

车速慢下来，心里大叹，到底是英国人啊！ 那歌词就写得跟老美翻来倒去的那么几句的白开水多么不同。 而且这烧包会唱，很骚地煽。骚到极致。凡事到极致，再无厘头都可胜出三分。再回来找它的MTV，你看，就这短短的一曲，英国人也简直出了个大雅呢，美国人哪里做得出来？哪里晓得要那么个扮相，那么个惆怅--哪怕是装的，他们哪里装得出来？他们就懂“baby”, 哪里有耐心在那么短的一曲里，从So  far away  ,  眼下，过去，将来地一路唱来？所以我听到Rod Stewart

,Ethon John 这路歌手，心总是会动。

 

记得有一年，我的白妞朋友贝思从丹佛到阿伯克奇看我，我们飞车在新墨西高原空旷的路上，我不晓得怎么就说起了Rod Stewart，我说我喜欢他。 贝思笑过我喜欢马脸的麦克-波顿，这回又冒出个老烧包，她又吓一大跳，摆着手叫：他太多负面新闻啦！我说 :  SO ?  她说，唉呀，我那时还在念初中呢，Rod  Stewart 有次昏倒在舞台上，送去医院 救治，在急诊室的病床上，这家伙肚子里竟流出很多男人的东西---- 不搞同性恋的人哪会来一肚子那玩意儿？！哇噻！当时是无比轰动的重磅八卦啊！你不可以喜欢他吧？

嗯，这烧包确实很风流。到目前为止，六十四岁的他正式结婚三次，跟五个女人生下七个孩子。最大的孩子已45岁，最小的孩子四岁。多年来，他混的基本都是女模特。但这是他的私生活，他有他的代价要付，自己摆得平，裁判不在我们。而且作为一个歌者，他贡献给大家的，最重要的是他的歌唱。我不会将他当成生活榜样，但这并不防碍我喜欢他的歌艺。

 

Rod 在1999年患上甲状腺癌，2007年夏天手术后，声带受到严重影响（他因喝酒太多，声音的特色就是嘶哑的），必须重新学习歌唱，重又返回舞台，活跃至今，真是个打不倒的家伙。

 

 

Rod  的光荣网上随处可查。当年，这个伦敦的小鬼头，当过掘墓人，小工，还踢过职业足球，让后唱歌，来美国发展，拿过那么多么多的大奖，出过那么多热销唱片，一直在西方流行歌坛的风口浪尖，在好莱坞星光大道上还留下足印，竟然红到今天，你随手拧开电台，就会撞到，废话真的就不必多说了。

 

在我看来，每一个歌手的歌唱，都是诠释。我该是喜欢Rod 的诠释的。比如我听他唱Van Morrison 的“Have  I　ｔｏｌｄ　ｙｏｕ　ｌａｔｅｌｙ＂　http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGEoR1f5aRc，每次都会感动。他唱得那么漫不经心，可是那整个调子，却是那么让人感动．有段时间，竟忍不住要学起来，

在一个阔大的LAB里，自顾着唱出：

却忽然听到身后一个老美男生逗乐：NO！ 不禁大笑。

当然，我上面引的Ｒｏｄ唱的这个诠释，还是不如他唱片里的。在唱片里，他没有临场的煽情发挥，就很真。

 

 

贝思告诉我，这是一首唱给神的颂歌，ROD 将他唱成了好似对女人的情歌---当然，崇拜的感情，在两性关系中也能体会的---作为虔诚的基督徒，贝思婚礼上的FIRST  DANCE，就选的是这首歌—当然，她不会挑ROD STEWART 的版本，而她看重的，当然是这歌曲的可以多重诠释的意味：

我喜欢他歌声里那种惆怅，也许是沙哑的嗓子，挫掉了昂扬，你听着他的歌声，总是有点点吃力，有些许辛苦，你担心他就要熬不过了，忽然就转过来，还有一点调皮。我喜欢这种带着沧桑，吃力的感觉。也许，更根本都不需要讲任何原因的，喜欢，不需要道理啊。
